Walnut Applesauce

My Version of Applesauce

1. Choose some great apples. I like to mix sweet and tart apples. (Approximately 10 apples)

**I like to make this part lots of fun. We have gone apple picking at a local apple orchard, gone to Cleveland's Famous West Side Market, or just our local market and let Cooper pick out the apples he wants to eat.

2. Peel, Slice, Core and Steam apples until tender.

3. Steam Walnuts until tender. (Approximately 3/4 cup)

4. Grind walnuts in food processor until coarse.

5. Puree Apples and Walnuts together.

6. ENJOY!

**Variations: Add Pears to the Apples. Try different kinds of nuts, we have tried Pecans and Almonds. Use more or less Apples or Nuts. We have tried many different variations of this recipe and they have all been good and Cooper loves it. Simple and Pure.

This applesauce freezes great as well.
